The news about this community in Texas which practice polygamy brought chills and at the same time a great deal of curiosity.  It’s interesting to note that the majority of the polygamous ones there are women.  Well, if that HBO miniseries haven’t surfaced, it would have been a major shock, but then, it is alarming to some extent.

I will not question if they chose to share partners.  What is very disturbing is the report that the children are physically, sexually and emotionally abused.  I can’t imagine how the kids live and study in an environment where they see that their parents go to bed with different people every other night.

We all have the freedom to choose whatever lifestyle we want.  But children can’t.  They are just plunged in and they can’t complain because they still don’t know what actions constitutes positive or negative consequences.

Hopefully, the children in that community will be placed in an environment void of grave confusion.
